The Sr. Associate, Inpatient Coder is a critical member of our healthcare team, responsible for accurately assigning diagnostic and procedural codes (ICD-10-CM/PCS) to inpatient medical records. This role ensures precise data capture for billing, reimbursement, and statistical analysis, while strictly adhering to official coding guidelines and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of complex medical documentation and a commitment to high-quality coding standards.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a medical-allied field (e.g., Nursing, Medical Technology, Health Information Management) or a relevant medical coding diploma/certificate program.
• At least 1 year of dedicated inpatient coding experience or equivalent relevant expertise.
• Possession of a valid and active certification: Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) with a strong emphasis on inpatient coding.
• In-depth knowledge of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding systems, official coding guidelines, and medical terminology.
• Proficiency in human anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and disease processes.
• Ability to accurately interpret and abstract information from complex medical records.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
