Job Description

The Sales staff will support communication between the Japan headquarters and local distributors, manage distributor relationships, handle inquiries and troubleshooting coordination, and assist with trade-related and field activities. Frequent domestic travel is required.

Main products

  • Power generation equipment (generators)
  • Compressors
  • Construction machinery, such as road rollers

These products are imported from Japan or China and sold in the local market.

New products are introduced based on instructions from the Japan Headquarters.

As new products are launched, the development of new distributors may be required, although this is not a frequent activity.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the Japan Headquarters and the company’s five (5) existing distributors in the Philippines.
  • Manage distributor relationships, including day-to-day communication, handling inquiries, and coordinating solutions in case of issues or disputes.
  • When matters cannot be resolved solely by the distributors, visit installation sites nationwide (NCR, Visayas, Mindanao) to provide on-site coordination and support.
  • Support exhibitions, product promotions, and visits from Japan-based staff, including coordination and on-site assistance.
  • Provide support for payment management and prepare related reports for internal and headquarters use.
  • Assist with basic trade-related documentation and procedures.
  • Note: The preparation of official trade documents is handled by the Japan Headquarters; this role provides coordination and administrative support only.
  • Training will be provided if the candidate has no prior experience.
  • Research potential new distributor candidates for new products introduced by the Japan Headquarters and report findings to headquarters.
  • Accompany and support monthly visitors from Japan, assisting with distributor meetings and coordination during their stay.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field preferred; college level may be considered.
  • Can do business trips anywhere in the Philippines.
  • 1–3 years of sales experience (fresh graduates may be considered, but those with sales experience are prioritized).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (oral and written).
  • Knowledge of industrial machinery and experience handling similar products will be an advantage.

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Additional notes

  • No regular transportation service; however, the company often provides transportation to the nearest bus stop or train station.
  • One current salesperson uses a personal vehicle for business purposes a few times a month and receives a gasoline allowance and access to a dedicated parking space.
  • HMO: None at present. The company has decided to enroll in a health insurance plan that includes an annual medical check-up, with plans to enroll all employees soon.
  • Depending on circumstances such as extended business trips, holiday work, or long working hours, additional paid leave days may be granted.

Interview process
