We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Inpatient Coder - Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of inpatient medical coding records, thereby contributing to the integrity of our healthcare data and financial operations. The specialist will perform comprehensive quality reviews, identify coding discrepancies, and provide valuable feedback to coding staff.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, or a related healthcare field is preferred. A relevant Associate's degree or diploma with significant experience may also be considered.
• Minimum of 1 year of dedicated inpatient coding experience.
• Possession of a valid Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) certification.
• Proficiency in ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding systems.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
